A wake-up call is on its way for under-performing occupational pension schemes. The UK Pensions Regulator (TPR) is considering the future of trusteeship and governance.
The same standard will be required of all schemes, whether large or small: the final schemes may be fewer, but better run. The days of the “symbolic” trustee are over and professional help may be required.
