The key to unlocking an ageing workforce

By 2035, half of all adults in the UK will be over 50 years of age. Unless we actively support those in the older age group with training and healthcare to continue working, there will be significant challenges to our economy.

An independent think tank, the Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) believes:

“The initiation of an ‘Age Confident’ scheme that includes guidance regarding workplace flexibility, workplace adjustments, age discrimination, training and Mid-Life MOTs will aid this.”

CSJ also recommends that the pension age should rise to 70 by 2028 and 75 by 2035.
